
Augustin developed and integrated SNMP monitoring for MOC switches within the OCP-on-NERC/nerc-ocp-config repository, focusing on enhancing network observability and reliability. He implemented VLAN 935 interfaces on OBS cluster nodes, configuring bond0.935 with DHCP for IPv4 and an MTU of 9000 to support high-throughput SNMP traffic. Using Kubernetes and yaml, Augustin created and applied a dedicated network policy, vlan-935-moc-swmon.yaml, and incorporated it into the project’s kustomization workflow. This work addressed the need for proactive monitoring by enabling secure, efficient SNMP access to network switches, demonstrating depth in network configuration and Kubernetes policy management.
