Adam Ward contributed to the ecmwf/earthkit-data repository by implementing CovJSON to GeoJSON conversion support within the CovjsonReader module. He developed a new conversion method in Python, leveraging his expertise in API integration and data conversion to enhance the library’s interoperability. To ensure correctness and maintainability, Adam introduced comprehensive unit tests covering the CovJSON to GeoJSON pathway, and updated the minimum covjsonkit version to support the new functionality. His work improved the repository’s readiness for continuous integration and downstream usage, focusing on robust testing and version alignment. This contribution addressed interoperability needs without introducing or resolving major bugs.
