Worked on the lowRISC/opentitan repository to deliver a feature that enables downstream reuse of OpenTitan’s certificate code generation. Integrated the certificate_template with enhanced Bazel compatibility, focusing on reducing code duplication and streamlining adoption for downstream projects. The approach involved updating Bazel dependency references to use '@lowrisc_opentitan' within the same workspace, aligning with Bazel’s external repository migration guidance. This work improved the maintainability and reusability of certificate tooling by simplifying dependency management and supporting external repository practices. Utilized Python and Bazel, with an emphasis on dependency management, to ensure the certificate tooling could be more easily integrated by downstream users.
