Worked on the akuity/kargo repository to enhance metric data representation for Datadog integration by introducing an Aggregator field to the DatadogMetric struct. This structural update in Go improved the flexibility and granularity of downstream metric processing, supporting richer dashboards and analytics without disrupting existing consumers. The approach emphasized backward compatibility and maintainability, ensuring minimal risk while enabling future enhancements in observability. Demonstrated proficiency in API development, Go, and Protobuf, with attention to code quality through thorough code reviews and adherence to commit standards. The work laid a foundation for improved data quality and observability readiness in the metrics pipeline.
