Focused on fixing memory leaks in C by updating fetch_metadata to use flb_sds_t pointers, ensuring that resources such as rval, http_request, and project_id were properly destroyed in all failure scenarios. Enhanced the plugin’s reliability by tightening cleanup paths and reducing the risk of memory corruption, which improved production stability. Demonstrated strong debugging skills and a deep understanding of memory management in C, contributing a robust patch that hardened the plugin’s lifecycle management and reduced its overall memory footprint.
