During April 2025, Ben Wensley enhanced the openshift-kni/cnf-features-deploy repository by developing a hardwareTuning section within the PerformanceProfile Custom Resource for the ztp component. This addition allows operators to configure isolated and reserved CPU frequencies, supporting more granular performance tuning for CNF workloads. Ben utilized Kubernetes operator development skills and authored detailed YAML documentation with inline comments and practical examples to guide future maintainers. The work established a standardized approach for performance-tuning configurations, laying a foundation for consistent optimization across deployments.
