Worked on stabilizing the Identity Verification flow in the stripe-android repository by addressing a rare crash related to TFLite selfie model handling. Focused on Android development using Kotlin, the work involved implementing robust exception handling and refining error reporting to improve maintainability and diagnostics. Generalized exception paths were introduced to suppress overly generic exceptions, reducing interpreter-bound crashes and enhancing system reliability. Logging was improved to provide clearer signals for post-failure analysis, enabling faster remediation. Documentation and changelog updates were made to reflect these crash-prevention measures, resulting in a more resilient identity verification process within the mobile development environment.
