Worked on the stripe/stripe-android repository to deliver a targeted feature deprecation, focusing on the removal of Blik payment method support from the Android SDK. Utilized Kotlin and Android development skills to eliminate the elements_enable_blik flag and systematically prune all Blik-related code paths. This approach reduced the SDK’s maintenance surface and aligned the product with current Stripe offerings, providing a clearer experience for developers integrating payments. The work included precise change management with commit-based traceability, ensuring a transparent deprecation path for existing users. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature simplification and strategic alignment.
