Worked on the Shubhamsaboo/LightRAG repository to enhance API reliability and code maintainability. Developed a feature allowing text insertion requests to include an optional file_source attribute, enabling more precise tracking of indexed text origins. Implemented robust handling for cases where file_source is missing or its length mismatches the provided texts, ensuring accurate and resilient indexing. Improved code clarity by refactoring generic validator method names in document_routes.py to more descriptive alternatives, supporting easier onboarding and long-term maintenance. Leveraged Python, Pydantic, and backend development skills to deliver targeted improvements focused on validation semantics, clear API contracts, and maintainable code structure.
