Worked on the srl-labs/containerlab project to address reliability issues affecting SSH connectivity on IOL node management interfaces. Using Go and leveraging network programming and system administration skills, implemented a fix that disables TX checksum offload during the IOL PostDeploy step. This approach followed established SROS and Linux kind patterns to ensure consistency across platforms and maintainability within the codebase. The change directly reduced SSH session drops on bridges, improving management access during maintenance and deployments. Documentation and code were updated to align with containerlab tooling, enabling future reuse of the Disable-Tx-Offload pattern for additional device types as needed.
