Worked on the DFXswiss/api repository to address a critical bug affecting payment request amount formatting for Bitcoin and Monero. Focused on backend and API development using TypeScript, the work involved correcting the formatting logic and ensuring the payment link service used accurate transferAmounts data. This fix stabilized the payment request workflow, reduced user-facing errors, and improved data integrity across multiple currencies. The approach required careful management of conflicting changes, including rollback and revert commits, and demonstrated disciplined version control practices. The result was a more reliable payment process, supporting accurate cross-currency transactions and enhancing the overall robustness of the service.
