Worked on repository hygiene and stability for the natmourajr/CPE883-2025-02 project, focusing on supporting reliable data-loading workflows and smoother developer onboarding. Addressed the issue of empty directories being pruned by Git by adding a .gitkeep file to the dataloaders/tabular directory, ensuring consistent directory tracking across environments. This change, implemented using Git and standard file management practices, improved reproducibility and maintainability without introducing user-facing features. The work emphasized backend stability and reduced risks in CI and build processes, contributing to a cleaner onboarding experience for new developers and more reliable data pipeline management within the Python-based repository.
