Worked on the teemtee/tmt repository to enhance packaging stability and cross-distribution compatibility. Focused on resolving a regression that altered shebang lines in bundled helper scripts, which previously caused build failures in pre-/usr-merge environments. Addressed this by refining Python scripting and packaging processes to preserve original shebangs, aligning the project with Fedora packaging guidelines and referencing official documentation for best practices. The solution improved reliability for downstream builds and ensured smoother integration across various Linux distributions. Utilized Python and packaging expertise to deliver a targeted bug fix, demonstrating attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining build consistency.
