Worked on the teemtee/tmt repository to enhance cryptographic governance by implementing an explicit FIPS crypto-policy configuration for RHEL-10 systems. Addressed compliance and security requirements by using Ansible and yaml to enforce FIPS mode deterministically, leveraging the update-crypto-policies --set FIPS command. This approach removed reliance on automatic policy selection, reducing environment drift and improving predictability during deployments. Focused on DevOps and system administration practices to ensure that the crypto-policy remained consistent across different environments. The work contributed to a more robust security posture and streamlined compliance readiness, delivering a targeted feature that aligns with best practices in secure infrastructure management.
