In July 2025, Chris Tull enhanced the teemtee/tmt repository by implementing an explicit FIPS crypto-policy configuration for RHEL-10 environments. Using Ansible and system administration skills, Chris delivered a targeted feature that enforced FIPS mode through the update-crypto-policies --set FIPS command, thereby removing reliance on automatic policy selection. This approach reduced environment drift and improved compliance with security best practices by ensuring deterministic cryptographic settings across deployments. The work focused on DevOps principles, emphasizing predictable and robust configuration management. Over the month, Chris contributed one feature, demonstrating depth in secure system configuration and infrastructure automation using yaml and related tools.
