Worked on enhancing data access reliability in the gwastro/pycbc repository by updating the OSDF file retrieval mechanism. Addressed persistent stashcp outages by integrating Pelican object get, ensuring more dependable file I/O operations within automated workflows and CI pipelines. This change fixed a critical bug that previously caused file retrieval failures, directly improving pipeline stability and maintainability. The solution leveraged Python for system integration tasks, aligning the project with current OSDF access standards and laying the foundation for future API improvements. The work focused on robust system integration and file handling, resulting in a more resilient and future-proof data access process.
