Worked on the macvim-dev/macvim repository to enhance file type detection by introducing CPS file type recognition in Vim. Developed a feature in C and Vim script that enables the editor to identify *.cps files as JSON, improving syntax highlighting and editor behavior for CPS projects. Addressed a previous limitation where CPS files were not recognized, implementing a patch with clear traceability and references to CPS documentation. The work reinforced robust change control and facilitated collaboration across teams. This contribution supports better editing workflows for CPS users and encourages broader adoption within the ecosystem, demonstrating focused expertise in C programming and Vim development.
