Worked on the google/earthengine-catalog repository to enhance the accuracy of geospatial data products by correcting a key configuration parameter for the MODIS MOD09CMG dataset. Focused on data catalog management, the developer identified and fixed an incorrect ground sample distance value, updating it from 500.0 to 5600.0 within the MODIS_061_MOD09CMG.libsonnet configuration file. This change improved the reliability of downstream analytics by ensuring spatial resolution parameters accurately reflected the source data. The work demonstrated careful configuration management and traceability, utilizing Jsonnet for precise updates and maintaining clear commit documentation to support ongoing data quality and catalog integrity.
