
Over two months, Bhass contributed to the google/earthengine-catalog repository by enhancing data discoverability and metadata quality for NEON datasets. Bhass implemented features that improved direct data access and clarified site naming, using skills in configuration management, data cataloging, and metadata management. The work included refining dataset descriptions, standardizing QA band information, and updating sensor and processing details to reduce ambiguity for users. Bhass also addressed a critical bug to ensure NEON contact inquiries reached the correct recipient. All changes were delivered using JSONNET, with careful attention to documentation formatting and data usability, resulting in deeper, more accessible catalog metadata.
