During October 2025, bleader@ratonland.org developed comprehensive documentation for the SDN Controller plugin in the vatesfr/xen-orchestra repository. Focusing on Markdown and technical writing, they introduced a new XAPI-based rule-management mode, detailing its usage and configuration for both direct OpenFlow and XAPI plugin modes. Their work included clear guidance on using xo-cli for managing per-VIF and network-wide rules, as well as outlining configuration options, limitations, and requirements. This documentation enables operators to manage SDN rules more reliably through XAPI, reduces onboarding time, and lowers the risk of misconfiguration, reflecting a deep understanding of both the technology and user needs.
