Developed and integrated the K9s Helm Release Revision Comparison Plugin within the derailed/k9s repository, enabling users to compare current, previous, and latest deployed Helm release revisions directly in the K9s UI. This feature was engineered using Bash and YAML, leveraging CLI tools and Helm to retrieve and present diff data for enhanced deployment traceability. The plugin’s design supports Kubernetes workflows by surfacing changes across Helm revisions, which aids in debugging and strengthens release governance. By embedding revision comparison into the existing interface, the work improved visibility into deployment changes and helped teams detect unintended modifications earlier in the release cycle.
