During July 2025, B Mourya Karan Reddy enhanced the aws/sagemaker-hyperpod-cli repository by introducing fine-grained autoscaling controls for SageMaker HyperPod inference endpoints. He extended the Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) to include an ActivationTargetValue field, enabling operators to specify activation thresholds for CloudWatch and Prometheus metrics. This schema evolution improved scaling responsiveness and reduced the need for manual tuning, supporting more predictable and cost-efficient production workloads. The work demonstrated depth in Infrastructure as Code, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes, focusing on maintainability and operator readiness.
