During December 2025, Boratyng contributed to the bioconda-recipes repository by upgrading the Elastic-Blast package to version 1.5.0. This work focused on enhancing compatibility with newer Python versions and improving dependency management, ensuring the package remained reliable for downstream users. Boratyng updated the package metadata and refreshed the source URL, which improved accessibility and traceability for future maintenance. The technical approach centered on Python development and careful package management, addressing evolving requirements in the bioinformatics ecosystem. While the contribution was targeted and limited in scope, it demonstrated attention to detail and a solid understanding of dependency and package management best practices.
