During June 2025, Boris Figovsky enhanced extension management capabilities in the grafana/k6-DefinitelyTyped repository by introducing a versionName property to the chrome.management.ExtensionInfo type definition. This addition, implemented using TypeScript and focused on API definition, allows extension management tooling to access and display custom version names specified in Chrome extension manifests. By exposing this property, Boris enabled improved traceability and governance for Chrome extensions, supporting more robust analytics and management workflows.
