Worked on the rdkcentral/firebolt-certification-app repository to streamline test data management by deprecating legacy utilities within Utils.js. Focused on code refactoring using JavaScript and Node.js, the effort removed testDataHandler and overrideParamsFromTestData, ensuring no changes to runtime behavior while improving code readability and maintainability. Export order was aligned for consistency, and a clear deprecation path was documented to support safer future refactors. The work included resolving merge conflicts and integrating changes smoothly into the main codebase. This approach laid the foundation for simpler test data handling and facilitated ongoing improvements in the project’s testing infrastructure and code quality.
