Worked on the OpenRailAssociation/osrd repository to deliver Italian localization for the Operational Studies user interface, focusing on improving accessibility for Italian-speaking users. Leveraged frontend development skills and internationalization best practices to establish a scalable translation workflow using Weblate. The work involved translating interface strings into Italian, with incremental progress tracked through clear, auditable commits and sign-offs. Utilized JSON for managing translation data, ensuring traceability and collaboration throughout the process. Although the contribution spanned a single feature without bug fixes, it laid the groundwork for broader multilingual support and enabled a structured approach to UI localization within the project.
