During April 2025, Brian Harrington focused on stabilizing PDF export rendering in the archivesspace/archivesspace repository. He addressed a critical bug affecting the processing of daogrp and dao elements in staff PDF exports by refining the XSLT stylesheet, ensuring accurate selection and rendering of these XML elements. This work improved the inclusion of correct metadata and links in generated PDFs, directly supporting staff workflows and reducing the need for manual reconciliation. Brian’s efforts in PDF generation, XML, and XSLT enhanced data integrity and reliability in exported documents, providing a more trustworthy foundation for downstream reporting and archival documentation processes.
