In June 2025, Brittany Mitchell enhanced observability for CDN logs within the uselagoon/lagoon-charts repository by delivering a metrics collection pathway using Helm and Kubernetes. She implemented a Kubernetes Service to collect metrics from the cdnLogsCollector, enabling metrics by default and exposing a configurable metrics endpoint through values.yaml. This approach allowed for easier tuning and rollout of monitoring capabilities, aligning with DevOps and SRE best practices. Brittany’s work focused on feature delivery rather than bug fixes, strengthening monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning for CDN workloads. The solution improved reliability and facilitated faster diagnosis of CDN-related operational issues.
