Sei developed an enhanced bundling framework for the smithy-lang/smithy-java repository, focusing on repository integration and extensibility. By designing and implementing a new GenericBundle structure in Smithy, Sei replaced the previous CodeRepoBundle, enabling support for multiple bundle types and richer configuration options. The work centered on API design, schema definition, and domain-specific language concepts, allowing for repository-aware bundling and streamlined CI/CD workflows across multiple repositories. Although no major bugs were addressed during this period, Sei’s refactoring and technical improvements laid a solid foundation for future reliability, maintainability, and automated deployment readiness within the bundling subsystem.
