Worked on stabilizing the development environment for the basecamp/fizzy repository by addressing dependency management challenges specific to Intel-based macOS systems. Focused on updating the Gemfile.lock to accurately reflect changes introduced during the setup process, ensuring that Ruby and Ruby on Rails dependencies resolved and installed reliably. This effort reduced friction during local setup and improved reproducibility for developers onboarding to the project. By validating the workflow and resolving a key bug related to gem dependencies, contributed to a more consistent and efficient development experience, laying the foundation for smoother collaboration and faster ramp-up for new contributors on Intel Macs.
