During December 2025, Buage focused on enhancing localization in the gristlabs/grist-core repository by delivering French translations for access rules and account settings. Using JSON and leveraging Weblate for translation management, Buage integrated French localization into the client files, raising translation completeness to 97.8 percent and improving accessibility for French-speaking users. The work involved establishing a workflow for ongoing translations and quality checks, ensuring alignment with the project’s release cadence. Buage’s contributions centered on i18n, localization, and translation, providing a foundation for scalable multilingual support. The depth of work reflects a targeted, process-driven approach to internationalization within Grist Core.
