Worked on the SunDevilRocketry/Flight-Computer-Firmware repository, focusing on optimizing the emulator build process for embedded systems development. Delivered a targeted feature that excluded the hardware-dependent timer.c file from emulator builds, reducing unnecessary code and improving cross-environment reliability. This approach established a clear separation between emulator and hardware code, enabling faster iteration and safer experimentation during firmware development. Utilized C and C++ to refine the build system, emphasizing maintainability and testability. The work demonstrated disciplined version control and cross-platform testing practices, resulting in a leaner build surface and more efficient development cycles without introducing new bugs during the period.
