During January 2025, acm_master contributed to the xtdb/arrow-java repository by delivering a compliance-focused update centered on third-party license attribution. Working primarily in Java, acm_master enhanced code attribution and license compliance by updating the NOTICE and LICENSE files to accurately reflect the versions and sources of Netty and Guava dependencies. This work involved aligning license headers and correcting documentation to support audit readiness and third-party risk management, without introducing any runtime changes. The update improved governance and transparency for the project’s third-party components, demonstrating a careful approach to third-party code management and ensuring accurate licensing disclosures for future audits.
