Worked on expanding IPv6 support within the aws/karpenter-provider-aws repository by enabling HTTP Protocol IPv6 for the eu-isoe-west-1 region. This involved updating the region capability map and removing the region from the list of those not supporting HTTPProtocolIPv6, thereby closing a regional gap for AWS provider customers. The approach focused on precise codebase modification, commit-based change tracking, and validation through continuous integration. Utilized Go for backend development, emphasizing region capability management and protocol handling. The work enhanced deployment flexibility for users and ensured changes were auditable and reproducible, reflecting a methodical and targeted engineering contribution over the month.
