Worked on stabilizing mDNS handling in the yuwata/systemd repository by addressing a specific bug related to local network query loops. Focused on refining the system’s packet processing logic in C to refuse mDNS queries originating from the local host, thereby reducing the risk of query storms and improving network reliability. The solution preserved support for legacy mDNS unicast queries, ensuring backward compatibility while enhancing overall system robustness. Delivered the fix as a targeted patch with clear commit messaging for traceability. Demonstrated skills in C programming, network programming, and system design through careful analysis and precise modification of the existing codebase.
