Worked on the google/adk-java repository to deliver targeted improvements focused on maintainability and modernization. Migrated the library’s HTTP client from Apache HttpClient to OkHttp, updating core components such as ApiClient, HttpApiClient, and HttpApiResponse to leverage OkHttp’s Request and Response handling. This transition preserved existing timeout and media type logic while aligning the codebase with current Java best practices for API integration. Additionally, standardized test file naming conventions by renaming a key test class, enhancing clarity and consistency for unit testing. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to refactoring and future-proofing Java applications without introducing behavioral changes.
