Developed HTTPRoute support for the Kubernetes Gateway API within the coder/coder repository, enabling more flexible routing options for the Coder application. The work involved creating a dedicated YAML template for HTTPRoute objects and updating Helm’s values.yaml to streamline configuration and deployment. By integrating Gateway API-based routing, the solution provided an alternative to traditional Ingress, allowing operators greater control and adaptability across different environments. The implementation encompassed end-to-end delivery, including code changes, Helm templating, and documentation updates. This contribution demonstrated proficiency in DevOps practices, Kubernetes resource management, and YAML templating, focusing on enhancing deployment flexibility without introducing new bug fixes.
