Worked on the basecamp/omarchy repository to deliver an upgrade for the Everforest theme extension in VSCode, focusing on maintaining compatibility and reducing user friction. Migrated the project from the deprecated sainnhe.everforest extension to the maintained reesew.everforest-theme, ensuring users have access to a current and supported theme. Implemented a bash script that automatically uninstalls the outdated extension when detected, streamlining the setup process and minimizing potential conflicts. This approach improved maintainability and security within the VSCode extension ecosystem. The work leveraged skills in VSCode extension management, bash scripting, and theme development, with changes tracked in bash and JSON.
