Worked on security and governance enhancements for the ministryofjustice/modernisation-platform-environments repository, focusing on data migration infrastructure. Developed and enabled S3 landing bucket functionality to support property data migration, refining IAM policies to ensure appropriate access and removing unnecessary buckets to streamline data flows. Addressed IAM and Checkov compliance issues to reduce misconfigurations and improve policy adherence across environments. Enhanced data protection by updating KMS key policies, allowing the ingestion service to generate data keys and encrypt files during transfer. Utilized AWS, Terraform, and HCL to implement infrastructure as code solutions that enable secure, scalable, and compliant data migration processes.
