Worked on the METR/vivaria repository to enhance reliability and data integrity in task management workflows. Focused on a targeted bug fix, ensuring that the get_tasks function now returns all tasks within a task family, which aligns with the intended plural operation and stabilizes downstream processes. The solution was implemented using Python and command-line scripting, with careful validation against targeted tests to confirm no regressions in data pipelines. Emphasis was placed on maintainability and clear documentation, resulting in a well-traced change that improves future maintenance and supports robust task retrieval for dependent systems without introducing new features this month.
