Developed and delivered a Slack notification integration for the govuk-one-login/github-actions repository, focusing on enhancing release and workflow visibility for engineering teams. The work involved creating two GitHub Actions that send notifications to Slack via AWS SNS, supporting both general and workflow-specific updates. Implemented using Bash, YAML, and JSON, the solution included new action definitions, supporting scripts, and comprehensive documentation with usage examples. By enabling customizable Slack alerts for workflow events, this integration improved observability and communication around releases. All changes were tracked under PSREDEV-2764, reflecting a focused approach to CI/CD automation and cross-platform notification delivery.
