Worked on the Shopify/theme-tools repository to address a critical issue affecting error handling in Safari browsers. Focused on resolving a DataCloneError that occurred when serializing ResponseError objects across worker boundaries, the solution involved routing error serialization through the error.toJson() method before transmission. This approach improved the reliability of cross-thread communication and reduced runtime errors specific to Safari, while maintaining compatibility with other browsers. The work was implemented as a minimal, well-scoped TypeScript change, ensuring high code quality and test coverage. Demonstrated expertise in front end development and TypeScript, with careful attention to stability and maintainability in production environments.
