Developed and integrated full IPv6 CIDR range support into the HRW4U grammar for the apache/trafficserver repository, enabling conditional logic to process the entire spectrum of IPv6 addresses. This work involved designing and extending grammar rules using ANTLR, with a focus on robust networking requirements and compliance with broader network policies. Comprehensive validation was ensured by implementing AST-level tests and enhancing overall test coverage for IPv6 parsing and conditional evaluation. The approach emphasized grammar design and systematic testing in Python, resulting in more flexible and reliable handling of IPv6 literals within the repository’s configuration logic for future network scenarios.
Monthly summary for 2026-04 focusing on apache/trafficserver deliverables. Implemented full IPv6 CIDR range support in the HRW4U grammar, including validation tests and related test coverage enhancements. The change enables processing of a broader set of IPv6 addresses in conditional logic and contributes to broader network policy compliance.
