Over a two-month period, contributed backend features to ConsultingMD/dbt-core and influxdata/iceberg-rust, focusing on modularity and authentication. For dbt-core, externalized Protocol Buffer definitions into a shared library using Python and protobuf, restructuring dependencies to enable cross-repository proto reuse and streamline future integrations. In iceberg-rust, developed OAuth token management APIs for the REST Catalog, implementing endpoints for token invalidation and regeneration with comprehensive unit tests to ensure secure authentication flows. The work emphasized robust dependency management and backend development practices, laying the foundation for improved security, operational reliability, and maintainable codebases across both Python and Rust environments.
