During December 2024, Chris Millar developed the Document Authoring Live Preview feature for the hlxsites/aem-boilerplate-commerce repository, focusing on enhancing the authoring workflow. He implemented a mechanism in the Commerce Scaffold CLI that conditionally loads a remote script based on a URL query parameter, enabling real-time preview functionality for document authors. To improve reliability, Chris also removed the use-credentials attribute from a script tag on the 404 page, preventing conflicts with the live preview system.
