During January 2025, Cooper focused on documentation management within the microsoft/hlsl-specs repository, addressing the need for clearer governance proposal references. Cooper removed an outdated HLSL C interface proposal and consolidated related documentation into the wg-hlsl location, establishing a single, authoritative source for governance materials. This work, implemented using Markdown and leveraging strong documentation hygiene practices, improved discoverability and reduced confusion for both new and existing contributors. By updating references and ensuring traceability through precise commit messages, Cooper enhanced cross-team collaboration and onboarding processes. The depth of work centered on documentation accuracy rather than code changes, reflecting a targeted, quality-driven approach.
