During September 2025, Cosmo Knight worked on the Layr-Labs/eigenda repository, focusing on backend development using Go. He implemented the deprecation of the built-in indexer within the batcher and controller components, introducing explicit error messages to guide users toward adopting the graph-based indexer. This approach streamlined the indexing workflow, reduced the maintenance burden associated with legacy systems, and provided a clear migration path for users. By consolidating indexing functionality onto the graph-based solution, Cosmo enabled easier future enhancements and improved scalability. The work demonstrated a targeted, single-feature contribution with depth in backend architecture and user-facing error handling.
