In August 2025, Chris Pearse enhanced the nf-core/configs repository by improving documentation for the qmul_apocrita configuration and refining the Nextflow installation guide. Using Markdown and shell scripting, Chris clarified the unofficial status of the configuration, added resource usage warnings, and updated best practice recommendations to reduce onboarding friction and configuration errors. The installation guide was reworked to emphasize manual inspection and safer download methods, supporting reproducibility and user safety. This work demonstrated a focused approach to configuration management and documentation, addressing practical deployment challenges and ensuring that users have clear, actionable guidance for stable and secure pipeline setup.
