Worked on enhancing the OpenAI Codex login flow within the badlogic/pi-mono repository, focusing on reducing login latency and improving OAuth handshake resilience. The solution allowed users to immediately paste authorization codes during login, minimizing wait times for browser callbacks by introducing a race condition between browser and manual input. Updates to the OAuth server enabled early termination and supported a new manual-code callback, increasing robustness in edge cases. This feature was developed using TypeScript and Node.js, leveraging skills in CLI and full stack development. The work demonstrated a targeted approach to improving authentication workflows without addressing bug fixes during the period.
