Worked on the badlogic/pi-mono repository to enhance AI integration and backend reliability by improving the handling of AI thinking states and thoughtSignature processing. Addressed a bug in thinking state detection by refining logic to rely solely on explicit indicators, which reduced false triggers and improved compatibility with Google AI and Vertex AI/Cloud Code Assist. Implemented a feature to ensure accurate storage and replay of thoughtSignature during streaming and message conversion, following recommended practices for context management. Utilized TypeScript and API integration skills to streamline code, remove unsupported fields, and simplify future maintenance, resulting in more robust and maintainable backend workflows.
