Worked on the apache/ofbiz-framework repository to implement a global control for Freemarker static model exposure, introducing a security property that allows templates to opt out of the static model whitelist. This feature, developed in Java and leveraging backend development skills, enables dynamic adjustment of static model access through FreemarkerWorker, reducing the need for per-template configuration. The approach maintains security controls while providing greater flexibility in template design. Collaboration with other contributors ensured thorough validation of security implications.
